In response to the Russian Federation’s mandatory Data Matrix labeling system (Честный ЗНАК) for cosmetic products, Magic Color, a professional cosmetics OEM/ODM manufacturer based in China, has successfully implemented a comprehensive Data Matrix management and traceability system across our production lines since October 2025.

This initiative ensures that all products destined for the Russian market fully comply with the latest regulatory requirements on product identification, tracking, and anti-counterfeiting measures.
Our Data Matrix system integrates seamlessly with product packaging and ERP databases, allowing for:
-
Automatic code generation and assignment during the filling and packing process;
-
Real-time verification to prevent code duplication or mislabeling;
-
Batch-level traceability from raw material to finished goods;
-
Data synchronization with importers' and distributors' systems for easy upload to the Russian platform.
Through this digital traceability system, every exported cosmetic product can be uniquely identified, verified, and tracked throughout its lifecycle, offering our Russian partners greater transparency, safety, and confidence in product authenticity.

“We understand the importance of compliance and consumer trust in the Russian market,” said Mr Chen, General Manager of Magic Color. “By establishing our in-house Data Matrix coding capability, we are not only meeting regulations but also empowering our clients to expand in Russia with peace of mind.”
Our team continues to strengthen our global regulatory compliance capability, supporting clients with end-to-end solutions — from formulation and packaging to labeling and export documentation — ensuring smooth entry into all key markets, including Russia and the CIS region.
